#ShoutOuttoHelpOut is helping as many graduates get their works seen by as many people as possible. And it is working. We’ve so far five graduates have found jobs just from us (and you) sharing their work.

Welcome to volume 6

What started out as a hashtag for graduates, is quickly turning in to a movement. We’re here to help anyone in employment worried about their job, or thinking of going freelance, or self-employed and needing advice or for anyone who has lost their job due to COVID.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut features graduates from any creative discipline.

Graduates send me a link to your work, I’ll do the rest. You help by sharing any post or tweet with the hashtag #ShoutOuttoHelpOut.

I am posting everyones work who contacts me on Linkedin (here, here and here), Twitter and Facebook. Helping get their work seen by as many people in the industry as possible. (more information at the bottom of this article)

Graduates — you can email me or add me to Linkedin and send there.

In Chronological order…

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Want to know how to introduce yourself? This:
Our names are Aoife and Lina, and here’s what you need to know about us: One of us once ate the evidence in a court case. One of us once worked in a chicken factory. One of us ate whale bacon One of us knows how to perform castrations. One of us was named after a heartless great grandmother, who paid (twice) to have her husband be shipped to America, alone. One of us had a swat team chase her down in an airport. One of us on her first day of work was shown how to inspect the male prostate using a bag of ice. One of us lived with nun’s whilst she was in her early 20’s One of us had a serial killer bunny. One of us wanted to be a saint growing up. One of us got paid to judge which beauty pageant applicants had fake boobs. One of us got paid to remove crumbs from on old drunks lap. One of us rented a whole dorm in a hostel with a tinder date. These two are fucking ace. If you don’t have the foresight to employ them, you’re not fucking worthy.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Emily Knowles a graduate from Nottingham Trent University. An avid film camera collector (clearly born in the wrong decade!). Emily spends most of her days illustrating, doing freelance work and working on all things creative while also running a little Etsy business selling greetings cards.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Moesha Parirenyatwa a graduate from Nottingham Trent University. A fan of true crime documentaries and podcasts , Moesha prefers the winter to the summer. She prefers the rain than the sun! Love her HBO Max project.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Charlie Dawson began his creative journey in a warehouse hidden deep in the Croydon jungle. Charlie escaped to Lewisham College to do an art foundation, then found himself lost in the world of Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art. He’s now knocking loudly on Adlands door and won’t be leaving until someone answers.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Leon Thompson a freelance Graphic Designer originally from Brighton and now based in Manchester. A graduate from The Manchester Metropolitan University. In his free time, Leon likes to draw cartoons and make screenprints using elements from Star Wars, The Simpsons, and whatever he can lay his hands on.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Luke Rodgers a graduate from Shillington College. A former law student who converted from the dark side to the good side, the Jedi’s (design). Luke loves to cook. He also enjoys accents and attempting to mimic them. A really talented brand designer with a considered eye for colour and playful use of a brand. Love his Kintaro’s Garden project!

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Lucy Frankland a graduate from University for the Creative Arts with a FIRST CLASS degree in Graphic Communication. A sneakerhead who has (probably) got too many pairs of shoes, her current fav? Nike SB Dunks! A self-confessed Zombie film lover. Lucy’s also a secret assassin on Just Dance. Her design work is thoughtful and driven by passion. Don’t take my word for it, look at her work and then employ her. What are you waiting for?

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Hollie Sanderson a graphic designer. Graduated from Nottingham Trent University. From a small town in the North, yet everyone calls me the ‘Fake Northerner’ for reasons you’ll learn when you meet her. Everyone jokes that she’s a simple gal and that’s reflected in her design; clean, minimal with a great eye for simple colour, used to maximum effect. Not sure where to start with Hollie. I haven’t seen a project of hers I don’t love. Her website is great. Hollies says she is ready for the next challenge that comes her way. If you don’t employe her I might have to.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Cherie Waugh a Graphic Communications student from the University of Northampton. A HUGE Rupauls Drag Race fan (Rupaul songs are her guilty pleasure). Cherie’s appetite and talent for all things design, visual and communication is strikingly evident in her work. Personal favourites — Cherie’s coffee project ‘Sole’ and her Artisan project, which earned her and Toby Clarke a commendation at the YCN Student Awards.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Morgan Lodge a recent graduate Nottingham Trent University with a second class honours (first degree) in Graphic Design. Throughout her time at university, Morgan found a passion for illustration, colour and shape. More importantly her love (and need) for over-priced coffee, houseplants and porn-star martinis.

Her work is colourful, cheerfully vibrant and smart. Morgan has a deft, light yet wonderful command of typography, colour over-shadowed only by her natural ability to create fucking awesome design work.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Brandan Saviour, a photographer from Malaysia, who graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a BA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography. When he’s not beautifully shooting models (with a camera) or editing, Brandan is either drinking too much coffee or rock climbing with my friends. Yes, the coffee addiction is real and no he does not regret any of his coffee purchases. Good job, since Kuala Lumpur is smothered in amazing coffee shops. Best food in the world in Malaysia, no question! No joke, Brandan’s work is shit hot. If you don’t commission him I’m going to get annoyed with ALL of you.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Vicki Hesketh, a graduate of many talents. A graduate of Liverpool John Moores University with a Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration with a 1st class Honours! Vicki’s specialism is publication, editorial and book design, which she teaches at LIPA. Vicki once travelled to Russia alone, with the aim of getting cheap tickets for the Bolshoi Ballet. She succeeded and got a ticket to see Swan Lake for £1.50. Vicki often takes her own condiments with her to fast-food joints: Franks Red Hot Buffalo sauce is a favourite, to ensure maximum taste satisfaction. Awomen Vicki! Her work is gorgeous. Full of layers and ideas and depth. Personal favourites is EVERYTHING. Especially her Anger project and The Picture.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Kirsty McKinlay, aka Costy, Krusty, Cosy, Curtsy, Kirty, Cossy. Graduated from Norwich University of the Arts in Graphic Communication. Despite all this shit, lockdown, Kirsty told me, has been ‘the making of me.’ Winner of a graphite pencil D&AD New Blood Awards. A Creative Conscience gold award with my team, oh, and Kirsty got a first class honours degree! Kirsty is drawn to the stranger side of design and enjoys trying to think of the more ‘risky’ solution to the brief. I’m with you on that one Kirsty. From Kirsty’s ‘#Talkdisabilitytome’ campaign (my kind of typography!) to her short film ‘Seeking refuge in Chernobyl’. If you don’t share thins and our other posts, I am going to start culling my contacts and followers:

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut @Julie Lai is an illustrator born and raised in Hong Kong. She graduated from @Falmouth University with a BA in Illustration. Julie’s discovered making and drinking coffee during lockdown. Her guilty pleasure? Taking naps on buses. Her work’s beautiful.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Becca, Bex, Becky Beaumont who recently graduated from Northumbria University with a FIRST CLASS Graphic Design Degree, specialising in Branding. As a kid absolutely loved twix’s and cooked one in a microwave to see what would happen. Melted, bubbling caramel plus Childs finger is what happened. Becca’s work and ideas are all capable of being businesses in their own right. From Bottom Line; a food delivery service catering for people with IBS, to Moontime. I recommend you check this women’s work out:

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Jake Porter, a first class bachelor of graphic design from Leeds Arts University. Jakes is a ‘graphic designer with a playful and imaginative approach to visual identity, type, motion and web design.’ Lots of beautiful work, from his Pro2ect project, to Circus Leeds and his Dabble project for a sustainable food delivery service in Leeds.

#ShoutOuttoHelpOut Alysha Radia and Rufus McIlrath. Alysha has a Masters from University of St. Andrews in Art History, Criticism and Conservation. Rufus graduated from the University of Kansas on a soccer scholarship and then Watford Advertising School:
