The Freelance Game
Freelancing might seem exciting, but it’s no walk in the park. Especially during a global pandemic. Many freelancers are currently struggling, most are out of work and almost all of them have fallen between the cracks of the Government schemes that fail to offer any protection or support.
Last year myself and Dave Harland collaborated, designed and printed a limited edition print inspired by and for freelancers everywhere, to raise money to donate to Mind. Screen-printed by Dan Mather.
We planned to donate all profits to support Mind, but in all honesty we didn’t sell enough (11 to be precise). So to help try and raise something for Mind we are practically giving away the remaining 39, selling them for a fraction of the cost. Each poster costs just£20 (+P&P). This won’t even cover our costs, but if we sell all 39 prints for £20, we will donate £5 of ever £20 to Mind. That’s £195, plus an extra £5 from me to make it a round £200.
So if you’ve got a freelance friend who’s fallen down a crack, or a loved one who worked for themselves but is now sitting around home worried about the future, show them that you’re thinking of them, with our limited-edition A2 artwork.

This screenprint is a creative collaboration by Dave Harland (The Word Man) and Steve Price (Plan-B Studio), who learnt these tips and tricks the hard way, during over 35 combined years of freelancing.
The artwork is printed on heavy duty 300gsm Accent Antique Alabaster, and with only 50 being made, they’re as limited as limited-edition gets (except if we’d made less than 50. Sue us).
